Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari joined his wife and her foundation to create awareness on the fight against HIV and AIDS as the world marked World AIDS Day on Friday.

The Menaye Charity Organization expressed well-wishes to persons who are infected with the deadly HIV and AIDS today.

The Inter Milan player said: "Giving back to my community in Ghana is something that is very important to me and my wife Menaye.

"I'm still supporting the Menaye Charity Organization which supports the work of several orphanages in central Ghana, helping to provide food and medication to AIDS infected orphans."

"As the World marks AIDS Day today I just wanted to take a second to raise some awareness about the disease and say that if you have a spare moment today, think about those less fortunate and whether there is anything you can do to help."

The Menaye Charity Organization has in the past contributed significantly in offering financial support to persons living with the disease and a number of orphanages in the West African country.
