Ghana youth star Thomas Partey marked his debut in the Spanish La Liga for Almeria who split points with Espanyol in a 1-1 draw.

Partey, 21, played full throttle at the Estadio de los Juegos Mediterráneos for Los Rojiblancos and was awe-inspiring in midfield but picked a yellow card in the 83rd minute.

"It was a good game for me and I'm happy to make my debut in the La Liga," he said.

The former Tema Youth midfielder joined Almeria last month from Madrid giants Atleti on a season-long loan deal.

He dignified himself last season for Real Mallorca in the Spanish second-tier and is keen to replica his performance in the top-tier though it will demand hard work and consistency.

"I've to keep working hard and improve my form because this is the La Liga."
