Ghana striker David Accam tells Asempa FM he’s banking on his brace for Helsinborg to get on the score sheet in regular fashion.

The 22-year-old scored two goals and set-up the other as the home side cruised to a 3-1 win over Djurgarden on the opening day of the Swedish league on Sunday.

The former Ostersunds striker is delighted with his goal-scoring prowess and looks ahead to scoring more in the coming months.

“I am very happy I managed to score two goals. Really thrilled with the fact that we've started on a positive note,” Accam told Asempa FM

“It’s the duty of every striker to score and I’m hoping I continue in this fashion in the matches ahead.

“We’re very determined to be counted among the best and the only way to do that is to win.

“Personally I’m hoping I will score more this season."

The confidence of the ex-Right to Dream graduate  has sky-rocketed since receiving his debut call to the Ghana national team for the crucial 2014 World Cup qualifier against Sudan.

He however remains uncapped for the Black Stars as he sat on the bench in the comprehensive 4-0 win over the Nile Crocodiles.
