Ghana striker Boakye-Yiadom finally seals Juventus deal

Ghana striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom has finally completed his move to Italian giants Juventus one week after passing a medical, GHANAsoccernet.com can reveal.

The 19-year-old moves to Turin on a co-ownership basis after terms were agreed with Genoa late on Monday night.

The Italian champions paid 8 million Euros to complete the deal of the player who has already been training with the squad.

“Juventus announces the agreement with Genoa for the definitive acquisition of the rights of the player Richmond Boakye-Yiadom for the transfer fee of 8 million Euros,” Juventus said in a statement.

Boakye initially displayed his talents featuring for Genoa’s Primavera side, winning the Scudetto, Coppa Italia and two Italian Super Cups with the Rossoblu.

He was handed his Serie A debut in 2010 and went on to make a further eight appearances over the next two years, finding the target on a single occasion.

A loan move to Sassuolo enabled the Ghanaian to get some experience under his belt, a chance he seized with both hands, firing 12 goals in 34 appearances.

The 19-year-old has already caught the eye with some impressive showings on the club’s pre-season tour of Val d’Aosta.
