Ghana striker Dominic Adiyiah scores but Arsenal Kyiv lose league match
Dominic Adiyiah was on target for Arsenal Kyiv.

Ghana striker Dominic Adiyiah got the consolation goal for Arsenal Kyiv who lost 2-1 at home to Illichivets' on Saturday.

The 2009 FIFA U20 World Cup top scorer and Most Valuable Player was handed a starting role by coach Ury Balakov.

Arsenal Kyiv  were shocked by the visitors after conceding two goals by the 13th minute through  Ivan Ordets and Aleksy Polyanskiy.

Captain Vladimir Arzhanov's shot fortuitously deflected off the the leg of Adiyiah who was inside the box to beat goalkeeper Khudzhamov.

But Adiyiah reduced the deficit in the 39th minutes before being replaced on 64 minutes.

The defeat leaves Arsenal Kyiv second bottom on the Ukrainian Premier League table.
