Ghana striker Jordan Ayew returns to Leicester City squad after serving his suspension

Ghana international, Jordan Ayew will be part of Leicester City’s squad this weekend when the team takes on Aston Villa in the English Premier League.

The Black Stars striker was absent last time out when Leicester City suffered a 2-0 defeat to Manchester City.

He had to miss the big English Premier League clash due to yellow card accumulation which required that he serve a one-game suspension.

After serving the suspension, Jordan Ayew is now returning to the Leicester City squad, confirmed by his manager Ruud van Nistelrooy.

“Jordan Ayew is back after suspension. Wout Faes has been training individually so far but he will be back in team training from today onwards so we will look at how he continues his progress. These two I think we can add to the team hopefully,” van Nistelrooy stated during his pre-match press conference.

Leicester City will take on Aston Villa on Saturday, January 4, in a Week 20 encounter of the 2024/25 league campaign.

Jordan Ayew’s return provides a major squad boost for his team as the side aims to bag all three points.
