Ghana sweat on Sulley Muntari fitness

Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari sat out the team's double training sessions on Thursday due to a reported thigh injury with less than a week to the start of the World Cup.

The Inter Milan ace picked up the injury during the team's pre-World Cup camping in Paris and aggravated during Tuesday's 4-1 thrashing at the hands of the Netherlands.

Muntari is said to have undergone an MRI scan to know the severity of the injury which could require him three weeks to heal.

He is expected to miss Ghana's final friendly match against Latvia on Saturday on Milton Keynes.
