Ghana to name huge squad for England, Congo matches

Ghana will name a huge squad for the matches against Congo and England later this month.

The Black Stars will play Congo in Brazzaville on 26 March in the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

They will also face England three days later in an international friendly in Wembley.

With the possibility of losing some players to injury and the prestige of playing the friendly against the Three Lions, the GFA wants a big squad for the game.

They are considering calling between 25 to 30 players for the two matches as they seek the win both games.

A victory against Congo will keep Ghana in pole position for a place at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.

With the power of the English media and the Premier League, a Black Stars win over England will give Ghanaians massive bragging rights.
