NIGERIA'S Super Eagles team will oppose Ghana's Black Stars in the semi-final of the ongoing WAFU Cup in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

Ghana finished group B runner-up after submitting to the superiority of Togo in a 4-3 penalty shootout victory for the Aiglons yesterday at the MKO Stadium in Abeokuta.

Togo, meanwhile, books a semifinal date against Liberia.

Both Togo and Ghana were the main challengers of Group B and organisers ruled that winner of the group will be decided by aggregate scores of  two-legged match-up.

Ghana won the first game 2-1 but the Togolese paid the Black Stars back in their own coins forcing the game to penalty shootout. Eventually, the Aiglons had the last laugh.

It was an action-packed afternoon for Abeokuta fans who were thrilled by dramatic events of the day.

There were two red cards, one to each team,  while all the three goals came through defending error, goalkeeping blooper and a masterpiece of a free kick resulting in  goal number two for Togo
