NIGERIA'S Super Eagles team will oppose Ghana's Black Stars in the semi-final of the ongoing WAFU Cup in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Ghana finished group B runner-up after submitting to the superiority of Togo in a 4-3 penalty shootout victory for the Aiglons yesterday at the MKO Stadium in Abeokuta.
Togo, meanwhile, books a semifinal date against Liberia.
Both Togo and Ghana were the main challengers of Group B and organisers ruled that winner of the group will be decided by aggregate scores ofÂ two-legged match-up.
Ghana won the first game 2-1 but the Togolese paid the Black Stars back in their own coins forcing the game to penalty shootout. Eventually, the Aiglons had the last laugh.
It was an action-packed afternoon for Abeokuta fans who were thrilled by dramatic events of the day.
