Advanced tickets will be sold for the Ghana's opening 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Lesotho on Friday at the Baba Yara Stadium.
The innovation is in compliance of a FIFA directive as a way of managing stadium attendance for the campaign.
''Fifa has ordered that all its sanctioned matches, tickets should be sold in advance,'' Safety Officer of the National Sports Authority Smart Abbey told Kumasi-based Angel FM.
''It was communicated to the FA (Ghana FA) and the FA had made us aware so we have no choice than to comply with this directive.''
Abbey adds prudent measures are being taken by the stakeholders to ensure there is no duplication of tickets for the game in Kumasi.
''The FA is handling the situation tactfully; it (GFA) had engaged a company to do this.
''It is not going to be like a normal ticket paper that we are used to, I understand it will be electronic and we are all committed to seeing through the process to a successful end.''
