Ghana to train in Kenya despite cancelling Harambee Stars friendly?
Ghana will train in Kenya

Despite canceling a friendly match against Harambee Stars, Goal.com has reported that Ghana will pitch camp in Kenya ahead of Sudan match.

Ghana's Black Stars will after all train in Nairobi ahead of their June 5 World Cup qualifier against Sudan in Khartoum.

According to a source, who is involved in their preparations, the team's home-based players will arrive in Nairobi on May 29 while the professionals will start jetting in a day later.

The source said Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah was in Nairobi on Thursday to check out training grounds.

"I was with Appiah and took him round to look at the venues they would like to train on while in Nairobi," said the source.

He also demised reports that Ghana will play Uganda as claimed by a Ugandan daily insisting the reasons given for the cancellation of the June 1 friendly against Kenya were valid.

"They are not playing Uganda as reported in Ugandan media. They will camp in Kenya after which they will fly directly to Sudan," he insisted.

Ghana last week cancelled a planned friendly against Kenya citing challenges in assembling their top players. A few days later reports emerged that they had approached Uganda Cranes for a friendly.
