Ghana train for the first time in Ngouoni

The Black Stars trained for the first time in Gabon on a wet Saturday night at their base Ngouoni.

Striker Asamoah Gyan gave his return to fitness a boost by completing the exercise which lasted for an hour on the training pitch attached to the Hotel Ngouoni.

Gyan spent two weeks in the treatment room than a budgeted four-weeks thanks to the horse placenta dose from Mariana Kovacevic.

The team was divided into two groups and changed from one another on occasion.

One group wore bibs as they did ball movement exercises and played piggy-in-the-middle with narrow spacing.

The goalkeepers had a separate work out session with trainer Edward Ansah.

Head coach Goran Stevanovic the signalled the two groups into action on a half pitch exercise.

Those in bibs included goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey- John Mensah, John Boye, John Pantsil, Masawudu Alhassan-Anthony Annan, Emmanuel Agyeman-Badu, Sulley Muntari, Dede Ayew, Jordan Ayew- Asamoah Gyan.

The unidentified group featured goalkeeper Daniel Agyei-Jonathan Mensah, Isaac Vorsah, Lee Addy, Daniel Opare-Derek Boateng, Kwadwo Asamoah, Mohammed Abu, Charles Takyi, Samuel Inkoom-Prince Tagoe.

The team ended it by practicing shooting on goal under the supervision of Stevanovic.

The Black Stars will hold another training session on the same training pitch tomorrow evening.
