Midfielder Mumuni Abubakar says his commitment to the Ghana U-20 team is responsible for his lack of games at Mamelodi Sundowns.

The former New Edubiase player joined the South African top flight side after signing a two-year contract in June.

Abubakar has however played very little for Sundowns this season and says it is due to his commitment to the Black Satellites where he helped qualify the team to the African Youth Championships.

The ex Liverpool trialist however says the problem has now been resolved – paving the way for him to see regular first team action.

“When I went to Sundowns I left the pre-season to come and help the national side and I think the coach was not happy with that,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

“But now everything is solved and I think you are going to see and hear much about me with Sundowns.”
