Ghana’s U-20 team lost 3-1 to Morocco but qualifies for the African Youth Championships on a slim 5-4 aggregate scoreline.

The Black Satellites were 2-0 down by the halftime, leaving Maxwell Konadu’s side in real danger of elimination.

But winger Frank Sarfo-Gyamfi pulled one back to ease the pressure on the Ghana team before eventually going 3-1 down to the Atlas Cubs courtesy a late penalty kick.

The home side pushed for a fourth goal to send the tie to penalty shootouts but the Black Satellites held on despite playing a staggering 10 minutes of time added after regulation time.

Ghana now joins six other teams alongside hosts, Algeria for next year’s championships.
