Ghana U23 beat Jomo Cosmos in friendly

Ghana's Under-23 team beat South African top flight side Jomo Cosmos 2-1 in a pre-All Africa Games friendly on Thursday morning.

Goals from midfielder Francis Morton and striker Gilbert Fiamenyo proved enough to hand Akwasi Appiah's team a boost as they rounded up preparations.

The team was originally scheduled to play an earlier friendly against Kaizer Chiefs before they depart for Mozambique on Friday but the intended match on Tuesday was cancelled.

Ghana has been draewn in a tough group alongside Cameroon, Senegal and Uganda and opens her account on Sunday against Senegal.
