Ghana's Under-20 team trained for the first time on Tuesday morning in Viterbo, Italy with 25 players.

The Black Satellites are fining tune for Wednesday's friendly against Italy's Under-20 side at the Stadio Communale di Viterbo.

18 locally-based players landed at the Roma Airport on Monday afternoon via Royal Maroc Airline.

They were joined by seven Europe-based players to beef up the squad for major test.

The Satellites are based at the Hotel Tuscania in Viterbo where the high profile friendly will be played.

The team will also train in the evening where the technical team will settle on the starting line-up.

Ghana FA technical director Francis Oti Akenteng will take charge of the team and assisted by ex-international Yaw Preko.

Ghana failed to defend the Africa Youth Championship at this year's finals in South Africa as they crashed out at the Group stage.

They eventually failed to qualify for the World Cup which was hosted by Colombia.
