Ghana U23 star Issah Abass scores in HNK Rijeka pre-season friendly win

Ghanaian youngster Issah Abass was on target for Croatian club HNK Rijeka in pre-season friendly on Friday against MTK Budapest in a 7-goal thrilling encounter.

Rijeka recorded a 4-3 win over the Hungarians at the Čičare playground in Kranjska Gora.

MTK drew the first blood of the match through Portuguese defender Tiago Ferreira in 21st minute.

Robert Mudrazija equalised for Rijeka seven minutes later before Abass scored to put them ahead in the 37th minute.

Robert Muric and Nino Galovic increased the advantage for the Croatian side before MTK got goals back through Gheorghe Grozav and Mihaly Kata.

Ghanaian midfielder Prince Obeng Ampem also featured for Rijeka in the match.

Abass joined the Croatian top-flight side this summer on a season-long loan from German Bundesliga side FSV Mainz 05.
