Under-fire Ghana Under-20 coach Orlando Wellington has invited 19 foreign-based players for non-residential training exercise.

The former Berekum Chelsea coach wants to rewrite the wrongs as he attempts to build a formidable squad that will be able to qualify  to the 2013 African Youth Championship.

AC Milan youth duo Kingsley Boateng and Edmund Hottor get the chance to justify their inclusion in the team while impressive Inter Milan youth star Joseph Alfred Duncan has also earn a call-up.

Duncan was instrumental as Inter won the 2012 Europe's Under-19 Championship after beating Ajax Amsterdam on penalties.

Joachim Adukor of Gefle IF and Patrick Twumasi of Lativian side FK Spartak Jurmala are also included.

The foreign-based players will begin the three-day exercise on Saturday June 9th at the Presbyterian Boys High School training ground.

Coach Wellington is eager  to redeem his bad reputation after his side was bundled out in the Cape-Town Invitational Tournament in the first round last week.

Ghana will begin their qualifying campaign for the 2013 African Youth Championship against Uganda in July.
