Ghana vs. South Africa: We will do everything to qualify for the playoffs - Hugo Broos

South Africa head coach Hugo Broos has said the Bafana Bafana will be everything to book their place in the play-off round of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

Bafana Bafana currently lead Group G with 13 points, keenly followed by Ghana on 10 points.

The two teams clash in the last round of the qualifications at the Cape Coast stadium on Sunday and South Africa need to win or at least pick a point from the match to sail through.

The Belgian trainer admitted his side didn't play to his expectations against Zimbabwe but has trusted his players to do more on Sunday against the Black Stars.

"We didn’t play so well on Thursday (against Zimbabwe) and it is a pity. If we had played at our level, maybe we could have scored more goals, and it would have been more difficult for Ghana," Broos said at the pre-match media conference.

"But I also think because we didn’t play so well … the boys will be there more on Sunday and ambitious to show something. We will do everything to qualify for the next round."

South Africa have not been to the Mundial since their last participation in 2002, they played as hosts in the 2010 edition.
