Ghana vs Zimbabwe: Talented youngster Fatawu Issahaku gets first Black Stars start
Fatawu Issahaku will now join Sporting Lisbon not Liverpool

Talented youngster Fatawu Issahaku will play his first match for the Black Stars after he was named in the starting line-up against Zimbabwe in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier.

Head coach Milovan Rajevac is pleased with the 17-year-old’s work in training and has decided to play him in the must win match at the Cape Coast Stadium.

Isshaku has been a regular in the Black Stars squad since his exploits at the U20 level in March.

He was adjudged best player as Black Satellites won the U20 Africa Cup of Nations trophy in Mauritania this year.

Although Charles Akonnor quickly promoted him to the senior national team, the former Ghana captain did not trust Issahaku enough to play him.

Rajevac starting him means the teenager has the opportunity to finally prove he merits the constant call-ups and establish himself as a regular for a long time.
