Ghana star winger Frank Acheampong inspired Anderlecht to a 3-1 victory over newly-promoted Mouscron-Péruwelz on Sunday afternoon at the Stade Constant Vanden Stock in the Belgian top-flight league.

The 20-year-old raced Les Mauves et Blancs into the lead with a patent 16th minute goal but the visitors pecked the scoring through Anice Badri just after the hour mark.

However goals from Aleksandar Mitrovi (72nd) and Matías Ezequiel Suárez (80th) handed a decent victory to Besnik Hasi's side on the opening day of the season.

Acheampong, a member of the Ghana U20 squad in 2013 and capped once by Ghana, scored thrice last season in 24 appearances but seems to have opened the season on a brilliant note after seeing full-time action and scoring on the opening day of the season.
