Ghana winger Frank Acheampong is not discouraged by Anderlecht’s early exit from this season’s UEFA Champions League.

The Belgian giants crashed out of the competition after finishing last in Group C alongside PSG, Olympiakos Piraeus and Benfica.

Anderlecht failed to record even a single win throughout the six games played in the group phase to record one of their worst performance in Europe.

But the 20-year-old Pokies is not bogged down by his club’s failure as he believes it will serve a good lesson in getting better next season.

“I am all that disappointed,” he told Metro FM.

“This is the Champions League – meaning it is the next level.

“So even though we are sad that we are out we will learn from this experience so that next season we make a more meaningful impact.”

Acheampong joined Anderlecht earlier this year after excelling at Thai giants Buriram United.
