Black Stars winger Christian Atsu returned from international duty to set up a goal for Vitesse Arnhem to help them manage a narrow away win over NAC Breda in the Dutch Eredivisie on Saturday.

Atsu's effort in the 26th minute ensured Vitesse breathed live into their title ambitions when he set up Japanese international Mike Havenaar to score the match-winner at the Rat Verlegh Stadion.

Vitesse lost their leadership of the Eredivisie table and are fighting to restore themselves but Jordy Buijs disrupted their plans when he pulled level for Breda after Zakaria Labyad had given Vitesse the lead.

And, as the tie approached the half-hour mark, Atsu razored his way through the Breda backline with skill and power before locating Havenaar who brilliantly finished the move to hand send Vitesse to second place.

Atsu has played 19 times this season for Vitesse and has scored trice and provided as many as 6 assists.
