Ghana winger Ayew hints at Marseille stay
Andre Ayew could stay at Marseille

Andre Ayew has given the clearest hint yet that he could remain at Marseille after the French side secured Champions League football.

The future of the 23-year-old has been hugely speculated in the French media after he revealed he could leave to join a club who will match his ambitions.

But after scoring a brace to help Marseille to a 2-1 win over Toulouse and virtually guaranteed them a place in the Uefa Champions League next season, the Ghanaian international has revealed his future could yet lie at the Stade Velodrome.

"For the moment, the season isn't finished - but after that we'll sit down with the president and see what the club wants and what we can do, if we continue together or not,” he said. “I'm happy here. I could stay,” Ayew said

"Where we are today, we only owe it to ourselves - the players, the staff, the coach,” Ayew said. “No-one imagined us being in this position.”

Ayew has been linked with the likes of Manchester United and Barcelona, but it’s thought that he is now favouring remaining with Marseille for another season.

The player’s contract runs out at the end of the season.
