Ghana winger Joseph Paintsil is expected to be available for Genk against Gent in the Jupiler Pro League this weekend.

The 24-year-old was substituted in the 2-1 win against  Union Saint-Gilloise on Sunday due to injury.

Painstil was named Man of the Match after scoring in the 2-1 win at the Stade Joseph Marien.

The winger was replaced after 37 minutes after appearing to be in discomfort following a knock, but it was enough to earn him the best player accolade.

GHANAsoccernet.com has gathered that Joseph Paintsil's  substitution by the Coach was purely precautionary and he is expected to be fit for this week's league game against Gent.

Painstil has been in superb form this season scoring four goals in eight appearances this season.

Despite his impressive performances, Paintsil was left out of Ghana's squad to face Brazil and Nicaragua later this month.
