Ghana youngster Joselpho Barnes scores in Riga FC away triumph over Super Nova in Latvia

Former Ghana U20 midfielder Joselpho Barnes found the back of the net in the Latvian Higher League on Tuesday as Riga FC thumped Super Nova 4-1 at away.

Barnes opened the scoring of the match as early as the 11th minute with a fine strike before Yuri Kendysh added another goal ten minutes before the break.

Seven minutes after recess, Riga increased their advantage through Moroccan midfielder Karim Loukili.

Super Nova pulled one back to the reduce the deficit in the 68th minute with a goal from Latvian youngster Jevgenijs Minins.

Two minutes later Brazilian midfielder Gabriel Ramos da Penha restored Riga's three goals advantage which sealed the victory.

Barnes, 20, who is a former Schalke 04 youth player has made 10 appearances in the Latvian top-flight so far in the season having scored twice in the process.
