Ghanaian defender Annan Mensah will continue his playing career in Armenia after signing for top-flight side Urartu Yerevan ahead of next season.

The centre-back has joined the club on a free transfer, signing a one year contract. However, the club has an option to extend if he excels.

He played for fellow top-flight side Lori Vanadzor Football Club but his contract has expired at the end of the season.

With clubs recruiting players to bolster their squad for the next season, Annan Mensah has been signed by Urartu Yerevan.

“We are happy to announce that Urartu Football Club has a new signing. The club has signed a contract with 24-year-old defender Annan Mensah”, an official club statement has said.

Annan Mensah enjoyed a good campaign with Lori Vanadzor where he made as many as 20 appearances. He scored one goal.
