Ghanaian Solomon Asante has turned down an offer to switch allegiance to play for Burkina Faso after being named the best player in the country's top flight League.

The ASFA Yenega ace hopes his exploits will earn him a move to Europe before the transfer window shuts at the end of the month.

"Well, I received GH¢6,000 for winning the best player of the Super Division and I am very happy now. I look forward to a move to Europe at least by next month," the former Gomoa Fetteh Feyenoord player told Ghanasoccernet.com

“I have received series of calls from the Burkina Faso head coach to play for them. The latest one is to play in Wednesday’s friendly against Congo in France but I have once again turned it down. I don’t want to play for them. I want to play for the country of my birth."

Compatriot Mandela Ocansey who has committed his future to the Stallions of Burkina Faso swept the top scorer Gong.
