American-born Ghanaian attacker Joseph-Claude Gyau grabbed a brace for Borussia Dortmund II who ran riot at Jahn Regensburg after thrashing them 5-1 at the Stadion Rote Erde in Dortmund on Saturday.

The 21-year-old raced the David Wagner's side into the lead as early as the 8th from a brilliant solo move before scoring the second in the 21st minute.

Gyau and Evans Nyarko - a central defender cum central midfielder, started the game for Dortmund II and the youngsters took matters into his own hands in the early stages of the first-half, slamming home from a fine finish.

Gyau was replaced in the 67th minute but Nyarko played the entire regulation minutes of the tie.

The duo started the pre-season with Jurgen Klopp's first team squad but were dropped to the second the Dortmund B due to late start of the Bundesliga.
