Ghanaian-born Swedish international Joseph Baffo has rejected an offer from Eintracht Braunschweig to extend his contract after returning from injury.

Baffo, 25, was handed a deal by the German side to extend his stay with the m but the defender says he needs to recuperate fully before thinking of any contract extension.

Baffo’s contract expires at the end of the season and a first extension offer has been rejected by the 25-year-old.

"We had a good discussion but now I just want to focus on getting fit as soon as possible. Then we can discuss how it will continue for me in the summer," Baffo told the Braunschweiger Zeitung.

The defender Joseph Baffo was ruled out for the rest of the season with an injury in November pulling a cruciate ligament tear during a league clash against VFL Bochum.
