Ghanaian-Togolese defender Wilson Akakpo will leave Egyptian side Al Ittihad Alexandria at the end of the season, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.

The 27-year-old joined the Alexandria-based side in 2017  having fallen out with  Al Masry over unpaid wages.

Al Ittihad Alexandria chief Mohamed Moselhi has granted the green light for the departure of the Togolese international.

The club attempted to sell the former Berekum Chelsea defender in January but failed to land a buyer.

He is now set to look elsewhere after both parties reached an agreement.
