Ghanaian defender Godfried Frimpong has quit Benfica B to sign for Portuguese top-flight side Moreirense.
Frimpong, 22 has signed a four-year contract with Moreirense after parting ways with his boyhood club Benfica.
"The Moreirense SAD informs that they agree with the athlete Godfried Frimpong, this is called a contract with our club valid for approximately 4 hours," the club announced.
"Frimpong of 22 years, international pelas camadas jovens dos Países Baixos, representing during the last 6 seasons of SL Benfica, club onde concluiu a sua formation. Only with this defense and with this contraction of the plant as orders of João Henriques is assimilated with but a young man of quality and great margin of progression."
The 22-year-old moved to Benfica in 2016 and made a total of 48 league games for the Portuguese outfit in the reserve league contests.
The left-back, born in Rotterdam and has Ghanaian roots, has featured for Netherlands U-16 & U18 youth teams.
