Egyptian Premier League side Bank Al Ahly have signed Ghanaian defender Issahaku "Leftey" Yakubu for an undisclosed amount, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.

Yakubu completed the move on Wednesday after putting pen to paper to a three-year contract after passing medical.

The 27-year-old is joining the Bankers club from Wadi Degla where he spent two and half seasons.

Yakubu has been a key player to Wadi Degla since he joined them in January 2019 from Greek side GS Ergotelis.

The left-back made 81 appearances, scored two goals and provided 12 assists in the Egyptian top-flight across the two and half seasons.

Yakubu left Ghana in December 2014 to join Belgian side Lierse SK from JMG Academy in Accra and was promoted to the first team after just a season.
