Ghanaian defender Jordi Osei-Tutu targets injury return after international break

Ghanaian right-back Jordi Osei-Tutu has targeted a return to the field after the international break.

The Arsenal loan full-back picked up a hamstring injury in Forest’s game against Blackburn Rovers on August 18 and has not played since then.

Initially, his absence affected the club as they slumped into the relegation zone after a four-game winless run.

That led to the dismissal of Chris Hughton and Steve Cooper being appointed as head coach.

And Forest’s results have picked up a bit lately, with two wins and a draw in the last three.

People close to the player claim Osei-Tutu is positive about joining his teammates after the October international window.

Though he’s primarily a right-back, Osei-Tutu featured at left-back for Forest before his injury. Whether he continues on the left or shifts to the right will be a question for the new manager to answer.

The 22-year-old born in England has Ghanaian roots and is a long-term target of the Ghana Football Association.
