Young Ghanaian defender Kwaku Oduroh is closing in on a transfer to Tottenham Hotspur from fellow English club Manchester City.

The English-born right-back has been allowed by Manchester City to train with the youth team of Tottenham with a summer transfer likely.

Oduroh has one-year remaining on his contract with the reigning Premier League champions.

Tottenham’s Under-23’s were in action last week Monday night, taking on Leeds United in Premier League 2, and Oduroh featured.

Oduroh played the full 90 minutes for Tottenham as coach Wayne Burnett casts his eye over the Manchester City youngster.

The 19-year-old was born in Manchester and has been with City since Under-9 level, meaning he has been progressing through the ranks for years.

Primarily a right-back, Oduroh can also play as a holding midfielder and even captained City’s Under-18’s to the Under-18 Premier League title just last year.
