Ghanaian defender Nasiru Moro to leave Swedish club Orebro SK following relegation

Published on: 24 February 2022

Ghanaian defender Nasiru Moro has decided to part ways with Orebro SK following the club's relegation from the Swedish top-flight.

Orebro suffered relegation after finishing second from bottom in the 2021 season.

Ghanaosccernet can reveal Moro is not interested in playing in the second division and has spoken to the club about his desire to leave.

Orebro manager Axel Kjäll admits that discussions have taken place with Moro’s agent.

"Yes, we have. What those discussions have contained must remain between us. But I can confirm that we have had discussions," he said to NA-sport.

Moro is on his way to Norwegian club Odds BK in the top-flight. The Norwegian club is said to be close to an agreement with ÖSK. But Kjäll does not want to confirm that.

“No, there is nothing I can comment on. He has an agreement with us and that is what we relate to. Other speculations about our players I have to leave to others,” he added.

Orebro SK recruited midfielder Moro, who can also play in defensive midfield, from Croatian side HNK Gorica in July 2021. He signed a contract until 2023.

He started 13 league matches, scored one goal and assisted one.

Moro moved abroad in 2018 from Accra Lions. At the time, the Ghana Premier League club were competing in the Division One League.
