Black Queens defender Portia Boakye was sent off in Djurgården game Linköping in the damallsvensk.

The 32-year-old received the red card after elbowing Linköping defender Petra Johansson,

The incident happened in the 13th minute as Portia Boakye apparently put an elbow in the opponent's face without the ball being nearby.

The referee sent the Ghanaian defender off after confirming from the fourth referee first.

Linköping defender Portia Boakye said she agreed with the referee's decision to show the Ghana International the red card

"Yes, I absolutely think so".

"The ball is not left in the situation. She was a little annoyed at any situation. And then I get an elbow in the face"

"She went and muttered a little. But nothing special.

Linköping capitalized on the opportunity to beat Djurgarden 3-0 in the game.

Portia Boakye recently extended his contract with the Swedish-based club Djurgården.
