Ghanaian duo Anthony Annan and Evans Mensah played key roles for HJK Helsinki in their 2-1 victory over Vikingur Gota in the UEFA Champions League playoffs round on Tuesday.
Vikingur went into the game on a four-match winning streak in the Faroe Island top flight league but they fell behind to a Sebastian Dahlstrom's 9th minute strike before conceding the second goal on the 29th minute courtesy Atli Gregersen's own goal.
The hosts got a consolation from Gunnar Vatnhamar in the 51st minute.
Annan and Mensah enjoyed full throttle of the match.
The duo will be expecting to feature in the return encounter next week.
