SV Ried duo Reuben Acquah and Kennedy Boateng are walking on tightrope ahead of their crucial Austrian Bundesliga 2 encounter against Liefering on Sunday.

Boateng missed the side's 1-0 victory against Vorwarts Steyr over the weekend through injury.

The towering guardsman could return to the squad in their Sunday's must-win clash against Liefering after training with his teammates on Saturday.

With four games to the end of the season, the 23-year-old would have to tread cautiously in order to play the final round of matches as he is one yellow card away from being suspended.

Boateng and Acquah have both been given four yellow cards hence a card for either of them against Liefering puts them in danger of missing two matches out of the four left.

Acquah meanwhile played full throttle in the win against Vorwarts Steyr last Friday but escaped picking a card.

The duo have been key cogs for the Green and Black lads in their Bundesliga promotion push this term.

Boateng has scored 1 goal and registered 2 assists in 17 league matches whiles Acquah has 1 assist in 20 games for the club.

SV Ried are sitting 2nd on the standings with 54 points from 26 games, a point adrift of leaders Austria Klagenfurt.
