Ghanaian duo Lumor Agbenyenu and Baba Mohammed were in action for RCD Mallorca in their 2-1 defeat against UD Levante in the eleventh Ciutat de Palma Cup.

Mallorca has had a fine pre-season training after winning three and drawing three of their games.

The newly-promoted LaLiga outfit were aiming to crown their pre-season camping with a trophy when they welcomed Levante to the Estadio Son Moix in the Ciutat de Palma Cup on Saturday.

Vicente Moreno’s charges started the match on a front foot and came close to opening the scoring but Raillo’s fierce shot could only grazed the crossbar.

Shortly after, in the 4th minute, Budimir took advantage of an indecision from the visitors defense to beat goalkeeper Aitor Fernández with some suspense.

However, two quick second half strikes from Sergio Leon and Borja Mayoral were enough for Levante to steal the trophy under the noses of the hosts.

It is the second time the Levante have clinched the cup after doing so in the 2015 edition.

Ghanaian pair Agbenyenu and Babe gave good account of themselves in the game — lasting 88 and 66 minutes respectively.

The duo are expected to play key roles for the Mallorca when the LaLiga season starts on Friday.
