Ghanaian duo set for Rayo Vallecano trials

Two Ghanaian players Kwame Frimpong and Mohammed Sheriff have been handed tial sessions at promoted Spanish La Liga side Rayo Vallecano de Madrid.

The duo left Accra on Wednesday night will be spend a month in the Spanish capital under the eyes of coach José Ramón Sandoval and his crew.

Frimpong is a midfielder with Premier League side Ebusua Dwarfs and captain the 2009 Ghana Under-17 team.

He graduated from the Red Bull Soccer Academy in Sogakope in the Volta Region.

Sheriff is an attacker plays with lower division side Tema United.

Their local representatives are confident both players will remain in Europe for next season.

"I don't expect them to return because these are players who can make the grades anywhere. Having four weeks to impress will be enough for them," Alex Ackumey of Lexer Sports Consult told GHANAsoccernet.com.
