Ghanaian right-back said Emmanuel Ntim said his club Valenciennes deserved to lose against Paris in the French Ligue 2.
Ntim said the 4-1 result wasn't an accident because they were absolutely poor as Paris dominated and claimed a convincing win to leave Valenciennes in 17th position.
“It's over, yes! We spoke at halftime of this match to try to win the second half, but we made it 1-1. We reacted well, it sure hurt our heads, but as a professional, you have to chase it and focus on the goal of the next match,” Ntim said.
“It is not an accident. At home, we have to win, but sometimes things start badly. Behind, it was complicated, we rushed. The second half was better. There were only twenty minutes of play when we were at 0-3 and we could come back, but a team like Paris is tough.
Valenciennes are back in action on Thursday night, hosting Strasbourg in the French Cup Round of 64.
“A cup match cannot be played, it is won. We are all here to win and everyone will make the effort for 90 minutes for that. In any case, we will be ready because we are at home and we will not be beaten easily,” he added.
