Ghanaian forward Aaron Opoku leaves VfL Osnabruck

German-born Ghanaian Aaron Opoku has left Bundesliga III side VfL Osnabruck. 

The 23-year-old returns to parent club Hamburg after a successful loan spell in the German third tier.

Opoku netted three goals and provided 15 assists AS VfL Osnabruck finished 6th on the Bundesliga III table.

The winger is expected to play a huge role at Hamburg SV next season, as he immediately rejoins the club ahead of the start of the preseason.

Opoku started his youth career at Hamburg before signing a professional deal in 2018, and has since spent time on loan at Hansa Rostock and Jahn Regensburg.

The lanky forward has represented Germany at youth levels but remains eligible to play for Ghana.
