Promising Ghanaian attacker Aaron Opoku has returned to Hamburger SV following a good loan spell at German third-tier side Hansa Rostock.

The 21-year-old, who was born in Germany to Ghanaian parents, was one of Hansa Rostock consistent players as they fought to secure qualification to the Bundesliga II.

However, his contribution was not enough as the club failed to achieve their target.  They finished 6th on the table with three points behind qualification mark.

Opoku made 33 appearances in the league and contributed to 11 goals. He scored five and assisted six.

He will be hoping that he stays at Hamburger SV for the upcoming season. His contract with the Bundesliga II outfit expires in 2022.

But reports suggest he could be loaned out again to Hansa Rostock.
