RSC Anderlecht and Ghanaian forward Dauda Mohammed becomes the latest player to contract the novel coronavirus at the Belgian club.

Mohammed has tested positive for the global pandemic, Anderlecht announced on Friday.

The 22-year-old will be self-isolated for at least fourteen days after becoming the 9th Anderlecht player to be infected with the disease.

Mohammed has shown no symptoms as he is asymptomatic.

A statement from RSC Anderlecht over the confirmation of Dauda's infection of the COVID-19 reads as per Het Nieuwsblad:

"A total of eight players from Anderlecht were already in quarantine earlier this week: Hannes Delcroix, Lucas Lissens, Peter Zulj, Timon Wellenreuther, Michel Vlap, Yari Verschaeren, Antonio Milic and James Lawrence."

The former Asante Kotoko SC striker has been linked with a move away from the Lotto Park before the summer transfer window closes.

He spent last season on loan at Danish side Ebsjerg fB.
