Ghanaian forward Eric Ocansey joins Waasland-Beveren on deadline day

Ghanaian forward Eric Ocansey completed his transfer to Waasland-Beveren from fellow Belgian side K.V. Kortrijk on transfer deadline day.

The 24-year-old has agreed to a loan deal until the end of the current season.

Ocansey left the Aspire Academy for Belgian side Eupen in 2015. Through a partnership with this Qatari academy, talents were able to experience professional football in Belgium.

In four seasons, the attacker played 119 games for the Pandas, scored sixteen goals, and gave ten assists.

Ocansey left Eupen and moved to the other side of the country to play for KV Kortrijk in 2019. For this club, he played in 63 games and scored four times.

This season he has struggled for game time and that necessitated his transfer to the second-tier side.
