Ghanaian forward Issah Abass is now a free agent after he and German side Maiz 05 agreed to mutually part ways.

“Issah Abass and #Mainz05 have mutually agreed to part ways. Abass' contract, which was set to run until 30th June 2023, has been terminated.

“We wish you all the best for the future, Issah,” Mainz said.

Abass, 23, joined Mainz in 2018 but failed to make an impression and establish himself as a regular, forcing the club to loan him out several times.

He spent last season on loan at HNK Rijeka in Croatia, following loan spells with Twente and FC Utrecht.

Abass previously played for Kumasi-based Asokwa Deportivo and NK Olimpija in Slovenia.
