Ghanaian forward Prince Osei Owusu says he was very emotional after netting his first goal for 1860 Munich in the German Bundesliga II.

The German born striker came off the bench to score the winner for the Lions in their 2-1 win over VfR Aalen on Sunday.

Having struggled at Armenia Bielefield, his parent club, he joined 1860 on a loan deal till the end of the season. The 22 year old was delighted to scored his first goal since joining in January.

"I am pleased that I have been able to do my part in the success," Owusu said after the game.

"For me, the emotions shot up. Sascha dropped the ball well, I had a perfect connection. I wanted to complete with force, then I have a decision and pushed the ball in."

Luca Schnellbacher scored for the visitors three minutes after the break only for Daniel Wein to pull parity with six minutes left on the clock.

Owusu, who came on for Markus Ziereis in the 63rd minute pounced on a S. Mölders  assist with two minutes remaining to snatch all three points for his side.

The 22-year old is on a six month loan at 1860 Munich but the club has an option of making the switch a permanent one at the end of the season.

1860 Munich travel to Energie Cottbus on Saturday and Owusu believes the win will lift the confidence in camp.

"We have fueled self-confidence, now want to score points in Cottbus. We have the quality, they only have to bring to the square," said Owusu.
