Ghanaian forward Sadam Sulley claims he nearly joined Belgian giants Anderlecht before signing Polish side Legia Warsaw four years ago.

The 23-year-old was scouted by the both Anderlecht and Sporting Braga as well as Schalke 04 during a Ghana Soccer Fiesta tournament organised by Dreams FC in 2016.

And the former Vision FC striker has claimed the two clubs came calling before deciding to join the Polish giants.

"Of course. After the tournament I was in touch with representatives of Sporting Braga and Anderlecht. I had a lot of different options," he is quoted by Legia.net

"I was interested in five strong teams. In this group, in addition to the previously mentioned teams, there was also Schalke. I remember it very well.  RadosÅ‚aw Kucharski (current sports director - editor) also called me and said: "Sulley, please don't talk to anyone, don't answer the phone, just come to Legia, because we are very interested in you." I made a decision and decided that I want to get to the club from Łazienkowska."
