Goalkeeper David Akologo has joined Bolivian Premier League giant Club Aurora on a two-year contract.

Akologo, who is a former Ghana youth international, will challenge number one keeper German Montoya for a starting place at La Paz-based club.

Akologo played for third tier side Mobile Phone Peoples and First Division side Tudu Mighty Jets before moving abroad.

“It's a very proud moment for myself, my friends and for my family back home," said Akologo.

“Knowing where I’m coming from, I know I’m here for a purpose which I’m ever ready for the challenge or tasks ahead.

“Speaking with the manager and his staff, and knowing the vision and the direction they have, the opportunity to be a part of that and hopefully be a part of something special here was what sold it to me."

The 24-year-old goalkeeper had a short stay with Lomas Atlantic in Argentina, Auraco Prado and Cochabamba in Bolivia Championship before joining Bolivian Premier Giant Aurora the two-year deal.
